The Arrival
I've shown something Shaun Tan before. These are some pages from his silent graphic novel, the Arrival. I noted them for there uses of tone and perspective. He uses his knowledge of technical skills to create believable fantasy settings.

A Spanish abstract artist. He mixes marble dust, clay and other such things into his paint. I've noticed his likes crosses.

Antoni Tapies Cube Roughs
(very rough) I've been trying to get my head around working in 3D one 2D paper and found the best way to make rough mock ups, to see what you want to do. It's more time consuming that thumbnails however.

Art Nouveau Influence?
After this afternoon's lecture and brief I decided to look up art nouveau after Audrey Beardsley was mentioned and I was reminded of a current Japanese manga artist, Yoshitaka Amano, who looks as though he's influence by art nouveau, possibly.

Shaun Tan
An animation by Shaun Tan, a favourite illustrator of mine. As the latest brief introduces us to storyboarding, I though this would be a thing to look back on. This version has Russian subtitles, as it was the only full version on youtube. It's not too much of a problem,
